Great blanket donation for the needy

Over 20 blankets were donated and ward councillors were assigned to distribute the blankets to those who are in need of them

International Mandela Day is usually dedicated to donating to others.

The Executive Mayor of Emalahleni Cllr Linah Malatjie, along with ward councillors in KwaGuqa, Transversal Services Unit and the MMC for local economic development, Taylor Pokgoadi gathered to make a generous donation to the community.

The MMC for local economic development, Taylor Pokgoadi said that the purpose of celebrating Mandela Day is to give back, as Nelson Mandela loved giving to others.

“We also want to appreciate the church for the great work it does for the community, even beyond Mandela Day,” added Pokgoadi.

The drop off of the donation happened at the Great Luze Church in Hlalanikahle on July 18.
