United Handlers deliver drinking water on Mandela Day

Over and above the water that was handed over, we also put up some signage for the Covid-19 vaccination area

Members of the United Handlers as their contribution on Mandela Day delivered drinking water at the Witbank Hospital.

The presentation of the drinking water was held on the beautiful Sunday morning on July 18, Mandela Day by the United Handlers NPC.

According to the organisation the drinking water was donated from individuals of the city.

We were welcomed by the hospital’s operational manager Mr Thulani Lukhele and we proceeded with handing over water to different wards of the hospital.

Over and above the water that was handed over, we also put up some signage for the Covid-19 vaccination area.

We wish to thank all the donors that are listed on our donation register.

We would like for the community to also continue to donate water as the hospital struggles with fresh drinking water especially at high volume periods.

“United Handlers will continue collecting drinking water for the hospital and would like donors to contact us,” reads a statement from Mr Sipho Mkhatshwa, treasurer of the organisation.

Those who attended the donation were: Ms Refiloe Mbuyane (chairperson), Mr Sipho Mkhatshwa, Mr Tebogo Mashile (secretary), Mr Lucky Khumalo (water drive project inceptor), Ms Amanda Mthunzi Mkhatshwa (volunteer) while Mr Lukhele represented the hospital.
