Road closure along the N12, section 20 between eMalahleni and Ogies

Mpumalanga provincial and eMalahleni traffic officers will provide visible blue light vehicles and monitor the partial road closure during the above-mentioned dates

The South African National Road Agency (Sanral) notifies motorists that a partial road closure is scheduled to take place on the N12, section 20 between KM 56.6 – KM 56.8 Eastbound and Westbound.

The road closure will be from July 19 until July 22 from 8:00 to 16:00.

The partial road closure along the N12 Section 20 between eMalahleni and Ogies will affect traffic in both directions, which is necessary and required for the installation of three Eskom 400-kV overhead power lines across the N12 Highway and that serves the area’s electricity.

Mpumalanga provincial and eMalahleni traffic officers will provide visible blue light vehicles and monitor the partial road closure during the above-mentioned dates.

The closure may need to be adjusted depending on weather conditions on the day.

If need be, a second notice with information of the new times will be made available.

Motorists are urged to use an alternative route, plan for traffic disruptions and delays, proceed with caution and adhere to speed limits.

The patience and co-operation of motorists will be appreciated.

Sanral apologizes to the motoring public for any inconvenience caused, and give thanks in advance for their patience during road construction.

The Agency says it takes its mandate seriously from the government to manage and maintain the national road network.

In so doing, the safety and well-being of road users and the communities in which it operates are paramount.
