KwaGuqa Wellness Centre soup kitchen is temporarily suspended due to the alert level 4 lockdown restrictions.

KwaGuqa Wellness Centre soup kitchen is temporarily suspended due to the last President’s Address to the Nation.

Nomusa Simelani said she is sorry for the inconvenience that the lockdown level 4 has imposed on the people of KwaGuqa and it is with great sadness that she will have to suspend the soup kitchen until the President makes his next address regarding the lockdown restrictions levels, she further apologized for the inconvenience “we are now facing the 3rd wave and we are back to adjusted lockdown level 4, therefore, this means community centres, churches, hotels, and other venues have been instructed to close during this period.

That’s why my team and I decided  to suspend the soup kitchen because we don’t want to find ourselves on the wrong side of the law, we know that many people are depending on this soup kitchen, but surely our hands are tied we have to obey the law at all times,” said Nomusa

According to Nomusa lockdown is affecting her foundation and it is slowly making people to lose hope on her because she pledged to them that she will help them, but now they feel disappointed because she suspended the soup kitchen and that’s where they receive their meal for a day at least.

Nomusa said she is aware of this trauma that these restrictions are imposing on the people, therefore she promised that she will keep people updated if there are any developments, but in the mean time Nomusa emphasizes that the soup kitchen is suspended due to lockdown level 4 restrictions.

Nomusa further urged the people of Emalahleni to kindly donate food items like vegetables, meaty bones, soup, and bread to help make the program a success, she added that the donations of clothing items will also be welcomed, and be given to the needy.

Anyone who would like to donate can contact Nomusa at 0734539326, or can alternatively drop the items at Zoe Rooted Ministries which is located at Ext.4, Ezinambeni, next to Siphosensimbi clinic.
