Suspects get away with various stolen goods from homes

According to the complainant the men claimed to be police officers and instructed them to lie down on the floor

Three house robberies occurred last week, two in Klarinet and one in Duvha Park where suspects got away with various items worth thousands of Rands.

On Friday, July 2 one of the complainants alleged that she was home with her children when four unknown men walked.

They were armed with firearms.

According to the complainant the men claimed to be police officers and instructed them to lie down on the floor.

The four suspects searched the house and found an undisclosed amount of stokvel money.

They also took a flat-screen television, cell phones and a laptop.

The suspects left the house and a case of house robbery was opened at Witbank Police Station.

No suspects have been arrested.

On Friday, July 1 two incidents occurred in Klarinet a couple of hours apart from one another.

The complainant left the house and went to work.

At approximately 15:30 he knocked off from work and went to his home.

When he drove into the street he noticed his neighbour standing in the street consoling his daughter who was crying.

He then asked his daughter what happened and she explained to her father that two unknown men forcefully came into the house.

The suspects were armed with firearms and instructed her not to scream.

As the suspects searched through the house, they took a television, other electrical equipment and clothes.

In a separate incident at 01:30 the complainant alleged that she woke up and found four unknown men and one woman in her bedroom.

The woman was armed with a firearm.

The armed woman walked over to the complainant who was with her husband.

The suspects covered the couple with blankets as they searched through the house.

The suspects took the couple’s vehicle keys which were a charcoal Nissan Qashqai and started loading it with gas bottles, a gas heater, a gas stove and a chips fryer and they left in the vehicle.

Once the suspect had left the couple went out and discovered that they gained access through the bathroom window.

No arrests have been made.
