Syasebenza Community @ work Organisation is on the mission of keeping eMalahleni spotless and sparkling

Siyasebenza Community @ work Organsation aims at making eMalahleni a clean and healthy place through rehabilitation and cleaning of illegal dumping

Syasebenza Community Organisation is a community-based organisation that was established and funded by Jacob Dazo Msimango on Mandela Day back in 2014.

The organisation is currently doing road infrastructure rehabilitation and cleaning of illegal dumps in the townships.

In 2016-2017 the project was sponsored by Eskom Kusile Power Station in a form of a donation.

The donation from Eskom Kusile Power Station paid a stipend for all Syasebenza Community @ Work volunteers.

The founder of this organisation Jacob Dazo Msimango spoke mouthful about his organisation “during that period we managed to forge strategic partnerships with the private sector and Government,” he said.

Msimango added that the program operates in and around eMalahleni, Ogies, Delmas Victor Khanye Municipality, and Bronkhorstspruit, and it has a staff complement of 650 community members, both males, and females including physically challenged individuals, especially the youth.

According to Msimango the aim of this organisation is to create job opportunities for the youth because the youth is dwelling deep into drugs.

Therefore as Syasebenza Community @ work they are trying to create something that will keep the youth busy and free from using drugs because drugs are contributing a lot in destroying the bright future of the youth.

Msimango concluded he hopes that his organisation will one day bring some changes in eMalahleni.

This organisation is more active in road maintains and infrastructure.

People seemed to acknowledge and appreciate the work that Syasebenza is doing to eMalahleni as a whole.

“We are proud of you Jacob Dazo and your team for shaping up our city to be the cleanest and most beautiful amongst beautiful cities in South Africa, as the people of eMalahleni we salute you guys,” said Lindiwe Phakathi.

The organisation seems to gain more recognition in eMalahleni and people are very fond of it.
