Soup drive campaign have brighten up people’s day at Lynnville Park

Members of Sibusisekile Isandla esiphayo foundation have blessed people with soup

A soup drive campaign was held on Thursday, June 10 at Lynnville Park.

The founder of this foundation, Ms Hlengiwe Mtsweni said that this is their way of giving back to the community as a developing foundation and they hope that they will be able to help disadvantaged families with food parcels, toiletries, sanitary towels, shoes and clothes.

Following the background of this foundation, Ms Mtshweni said that the foundation was established on April 16, 2021 with pure intentions of helping the needy communities around eMalahleni.

Their main purpose is to alleviate poverty, crime, unwanted pregnancies, to empower women and unwanted relationships.

For now, Ms Mtshweni said they don’t have an office, but they are using her home as a place of helping people, even though it has limited space, they are surviving by God’s grace.

People came in large numbers to get food and many of them were saying this initiative is going to help many communities and it will end criminal activities because it is believed that crime is motivated by hunger and poverty which leads to illegal activities and sexual promiscuity.

Therefore if people have something to eat, then crime will be limited.

Ms Mtshweni told WITBANK NEWS that this foundation has taught them to be thankful and to appreciate every little thing that they come across.

She further said that they urge stakeholders around eMalahleni to put a hand to make things easier for them as a developing foundation.

“We are not in partnership with any group for now and we wish we can partner with the Emalahleni Municipality,” said Hlengiwe Mtshweni.

The members of this foundation said their wish is to build a shelter for the homeless people and women who live in toxic marriages.
