Fitness lends a helping hand to the vulnerable

The explosive atmosphere had no boundaries during the Fitness First Hand Relay.

Not even the cold could keep fitness fanatics away from the Fitness First Hand Relay this weekend.

Ninety people participated in the relay in aid of Solidarity Helping Hands on Saturday, June 6.

Teams of four participated in 20-minute segments of metafit, step, bootcamp and pound.

The explosive atmosphere had no boundaries as team-mates cheered each other on.

Fitness instructors Chantelle Vorster, Nadia Esterhuizen, Taryn Fraser, Felicia Myburgh, and Jess Collins had the adrenaline going and pushed the participants to their limits.

“When the day started and I sat drinking my coffee before I left for the hall, I didn’t know what to expect. What would be the turnout, would the relay actually work? Because everything can look amazing on paper. You all took it to a whole other level. You screamed and cheered and pushed your limits with excitement and laughter. Thank you to everyone who participated,” Chantelle, the organiser of the event said.

She also thanked ER24 for assisting during the event.
