Business owners concerned about safety

It is alleged that four unknown men have robbed a tuck shop in Siyanqoba.

Many business owners in eMalahleni are worried about the robberies that are happening almost every day.

It is alleged that four unknown men have robbed a tuck shop in Siyanqoba at Klarinet on Saturday, May 29.

Mr Degefe Mathius Makiso, the owner of 4×4 Blue Tuckshop says the four men who robbed him were wearing balaclavas and they pointed him with firearms. They took his cell phone, laptop and some money in the cash register, three pairs of shoes as well as cigarettes.

It is believed that these types of crimes have become a pandemic in eMalahleni because on Thursday, May 13, another incident was reported and it was alleged that two unknown men have illegally broken into the victim’s home in Die Heuwel and they took the deranged victim’s cell phone, laptop, computer box, Samsung TV, hockey bag and a router.

Captain Eddie Hall, spokesperson from Witbank Police Station is urging people to report any crime that they come across or any suspicious thing that they see to their nearest police station or call the police landline which is 08600 1011 because that’s the way of dealing with criminal activities.
