BTM Sports gets a 6-1 whipping

Sabie Bayern beat BTM Sports FC 6-1 on their home ground.

Local team playing in the ABC Motsepe League in the steam B were given soccer lessons by a team from Sabie.

BTM was the first to be awarded a place-kick in the early minutes of the game, but it was wasted. While the Sabie boys rely on their passing game and it makes things difficult for the homeboys to close the gaps.

Sabie nearly scored a goal after one of their forwards’ breakthrough after a build-up from the centre of the field. BTM was in action, but their shot went over the crossbar.

Sabie scored an easy goal after one of the defenders of BTM committed a mistake in the danger zone and the keeper tried his best to save, but it just sailed to the empty net.

BTM managed to equalise after they were awarded a place-kick which was saved but resulted in a penalty after a defender handled the ball. The first half ended with the team’s level at 1-1.

In the second half, it was a one-way ticket as Sabie was more composed and always on the attack.

A shot at goals resulted in the ball bouncing back after the BTM keeper tried to save and the ball was headed into the goal. Sabie also added a third goal after a few minutes.

Leading 3-1 Sabie scored their fourth goal when the keeper was outside his goal line and could not save a goal. Sabie added another goal to make it 5-1 and nailed the last one in the dying minutes of the half to make the final score 6-1.
