Volunteers teach children how to extinguish a fire

SACCW Emalahleni EMS and FD started six years ago, only of three members.

Have you ever thought about it to teach your children the right way of using a fire extinguisher or what to do in an emergency?

On Friday, May 21 members from SACCW Emalahleni EMS and FD Volunteers hosted a demonstration opposite Köhler Auto.

Adriaan van Wyk learnt how to extinguish a fire on Friday, May 21; assisting him is Johan de Jongh.

When SACCW Emalahleni EMS and FD started six years ago they were originally only three members; Charles Steyn, James Salmond and Johan de Jongh. Now the volunteers are made up of a group of 25 people.

“We also have other specialists that we deal with to help with situations such as sea rescue, SAPS Water Wing and Emalahleni Fire Department,” said Charles to the WITBANK NEWS
