No water in KwaQuga and Hlalanikahle , one pump is not working

A major leak on Point A line resulted in only Point B line being able to pump water.

 

This leak is in close proximity to the Afrox gas line.

 

The repairs are underway and is anticipated to be completed by later this evening.

 

The challenges in this repair are deep excavations, other municipal services, telecommunications and gas services whereby the team needs to exercise caution when working.

 

“We are appealing to the community to continue using water sparingly.,” said Mr Lebo Mofokeng, municipal spokesperson.
