Lorna Mead turned 101 years on Monday, February 22. She moved to eMalahleni in 1997. She was born in Filabusi, Southern Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) and schooled at Evelyn High School, Bulawayo. She had four kids, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was married twice and was a housewife all her life.
