The man suspected of murdering an 86-year-old woman at Edenpark Retirement Village handed himself over at Mondeor Police Station in Johannesburg this morning as confirmed by sources close to the investigation.
He was on the run after the body of Ms Johanna Rossouw was discovered in her house on Sunday, January 31.
Security went to check up on her after becoming suspicious when an unknown man drove her white Honda Jazz out of the premises.
His identity will not be divulged until he has been formally charged.
A trusted source provided WITBANK NEWS with a voice note reportedly recorded and sent by the 36-year-old man.
In it, he emotionally apologises for “his decisions” without indicating what this refers to.
