As this horrendous act of hit-and-run is becoming a daily problem in the community of eMalahleni another life was lost.
On Saturday, November 28 a pedestrian was struck by a speeding vehicle at the ‘El Paso’ intersection on the Bethal Road. The driver failed to stop and report the incident.
According to the eyewitness the vehicle was travelling at a very high speed and did not attempt to stop after striking the pedestrian.
Emergency services declared the pedestrian dead on arrival.
Witbank Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
