Protesters closed the N4 highway toll road in Vosman
The protest started this morning and law enforcement officers were monitoring the situation
Motorists travelling to and from Bronkhorstspruit and Emalahleni woke up early in the morning to find the road closed by protesters near Vosman.
People going to work and students going to school had to use alternative roads to reach their destinations on Friday morning September 18.
While other motorists had parked their cars along the road, other motorists were advised to travel via the R545 Road in Ogies.
They will then rejoin the N4 toll road once they have been able to avoid the N4 toll road portion where there is a protest.

The road was also closed on Wednesday night and again on Thursday.
Even though it was not clear what the reason for the closure was, some people said the community members were protesting because they did not have water in their areas.
“It is an inconvenience to find the road closed; we will be late for work and the children will also be late for school. For whatever reason they are protesting about, they need to sit down with the relevant authorities to find a solution to the problem. What about those motorists who are not familiar with the area?” asked one of the motorists who had parked his car along the road.
