The first training camp was held in May for 10 athletes for basic and advance training.

He said the results of the camp showed during the virtual train race.

They believed that they used the time fruitfully due to the closure of schools as most young and up and coming athletics benefitted and had something to do during the period. They had something positive to do according to Mtsweni.

“Ikhaya Athletics Club is growing every day; I am over the moon about the progress of the team. In our camp, we have athletes from as far as Malelane and former KwaNdebele areas plus the local athletes. The future of the club looks bright,” added Mtsweni.
