The race is on for the GTR2020 Virtual event.
“The first participants have done their GTR2020 run or cycle and they received their virtual medal and certificate, said Monica Joao from the Greatest Train Race (GTR).
The race can be run, walked or cycled between August 1 and August 22.
You can still enter until August 21.
“As the GTR is a charity event, we have to get at least 1 000 entries to ensure that we can cover our costs so that all our sponsorship money received can go directly to our beneficiaries. As this year is one of the most challenging ones for most people, our beneficiaries need our support more than ever before,” said Joao.
Another opportunity to get involved is through sponsorships.

Without their support, we would not be able to do what we do.”
There are still sponsorship opportunities available for small to large businesses as well as private individuals and organisations.
The race committee would like to appeal to companies in the surrounding communities to seriously consider becoming partners in this worthwhile community venture.
