Pastor says children are being abused during Covid-19

Women claimed that they are abused by men, but what about those children abused by their mothers

Emalahleni Men of Destiny chairperson Pastor Ignatius Mahlangu condemns the spirit of abuse against during the terrible situation of Covid-19.

He says that parents are so careless and negligent in taking care of their children and that is totally against the Word of God.

He added to say that president Ramaphosa has announced that Covid-19 ward committees should be formed to make sure that people comply with the regulations set out by the government.

“It is clear that young women became pregnant just to receive grants. Many children under the age of 10 years are found roaming the streets dirty and living under abuse, especially now since it is very cold. I am not a church-based pastor only; I’m also involved in many projects under this organisation. I am saying this under the theme: ‘Your child is my child’. It is so painful to see a child living under family violence circumstances.”

Pastor Mahlangu says that children are abused in many ways, not only by men but also by their mothers and 85% of the children are staying with their mothers and grandparents.

Children are the most natural valuable blessings from God.

Women claimed that they are abused by men, but what about those children abused by their mothers.

Others are left in the care of their grandmothers alone.”

President Ramaphosa condemns the killing of women and children and said that our silence has consequences.

On behalf of the Emalahleni Men of Destiny, we support the formation of the Covid-19 ward committees and not only that but other programmes as well such as parent’s development and youth development programmes.

Through the Covid-19 let’s repent, change our attitude and behaviour and build a healthy Godly society.
