The bail application of the suspect who allegedly set his former girlfriend alight was denied.
WITBANK NEWS earlier reported about a group of women gathering at the Witbank Magistrate’s Court showing their support for the burned victim, Karabo Mnisi as the accused, Kholofelo Nonyane had his first appearance on July 14.
The formal bail application was heard on July 20, where women once again gathered in front of the court in support of Karabo.
Nonyane was denied bail and will remain in custody.
The matter has been postponed to September 4, for further investigation.
The woman outside the court sang in victory after the verdict was announced.
