It has been confirmed that two people died in the accident between Kriel and Ogies yesterday.

It is alleged that a vehicle turned in front of a truck on Friday, June 26. The truck driver tried to avoid the vehicle and collided with another oncoming vehicle.

In total there were three cars and the truck involved in the accident.

One of the cars came to a standstill in the veld a few meters away.

“Two cars were stuck underneath the truck’s trailer. Within moments the cars went up in flames. Luckily a couple could get out of their vehicle, but two had no chance,” said Mr Shayne van der Heever, director Langamed South.
Three patients were admitted to Life Cosmos Hospital.
