Stan goes live to keep furry friends alive

Well-known local artist, Stan Kruger, who is also the lead singer of the local band LEVEN, will do his second livestream performance on Thursday, April 30 in aid of the local SPCA. He will donate 80% of the income to the SPCA.

Well-known local artist, Stan Kruger made a plan during the lockdown period to reach out to those who are very much affected by the situation and cannot speak for themselves.

Stan, who is also the lead singer of the local band LEVEN, will do his second livestream performance on Thursday, April 30 in aid of the local SPCA. He will donate 80% of the income to the SPCA.

“I just feel that during this time the SPCA is feeling the effect more than ever because nobody is allowed to go out and deliver food or other necessities. They are not allowed to have pets being adopted during this time and have to look after all the animals in their care at the moment. So they really need funds desperately.”

Stan said he already made R2 500 from the previous live stream performance and aim to make at least R7 000 to R8 000 to donate.

“I work with a company called BUSQR who develops a QR code which listeners can scan to lock onto during the livestream broadcast. This company will also handle all the administrative issues and funds,” explained Stan.

All you have to do is go to Stan Martin’s Facebook page on Thursday at around 18:00. The livestream performance lasts between two to three hours and there will be instructions on how to go about to donate using the code, link or account details if you prefer to make an EFT.

“This is not about me or to make money, the 20% I take is just to cover data and other necessities I need to be able to do the livestream,” Stan concluded.

So, make sure you watch Stan’s livestream performance and help the SPCA with whatever they need to keep the animals fed and looked after during lockdown.
