Scholar on her way to school defends herself against kidnappers

Once the suspects had left, she ran into the school ground crying

Many children walk to school as their parents have to leave for work early and can’t take them to school.

On Friday, February 7 at a school in Pine Ridge one scholar was on her way to school; when she reached the school gate she was approached by three unknown men in a blue Polo Vivo.

It’s alleged that two of the unknown men jumped out of their vehicle and tried to get her into the vehicle.

She managed to get away from them and ran into the nearby bushes.

Once the suspects had left, she ran into the school ground crying.

The school contacted her father, who allegedly rushed to the school.

His daughter then explained to her father what had happened.

A case of attempted kidnapping was opened at Witbank Police Station.
