Traffic scandal on Emalahleni council agenda
The municipality in their response said due to the seriousness of the allegation, and on the balance of probabilities
Emalahleni Local Municipality’s traffic scandal is not going to disappear under the rug.
Cllr Lizelle Steyn from the Democratic Alliance submitted written questions to the council wherein the party asked questions about the scandal that involved senior role-players in the council.
The sitting on Thursday, February 27 was the second council seating wherein this highly controversial subject was discussed.
The municipality in their response said due to the seriousness of the allegation, and on the balance of probabilities, the allegations of nepotism and corruption will further be subjected to the ethics committee and council processes as provided in the standing rules of order.
