Video: TUT students force their way in for education

The protest that has been going on for a couple of weeks, had led the campus management to close gates

Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) eMalahleni campus students are demanding for campus activities to resume at the campus.

The protest that has been going on for a couple of weeks, had led the campus management to close gates.

The group of students who want to gain access to the campus and continue with their studies argued that they were not told that campus activities were dismissed for this week.

Some of the students showed an SMS that was sent to all registered eMalahleni campus students stating that activities resumed on last week Monday, February 17, as also highlighted by TUT’s corporate channels manager, Ms Willa de Ruyter last week.

The students broke open the entry gate to the campus. Witbank police officers were monitoring the scene.
