Robbers open for business

They took a cashbox and left the scene

There is no such thing as too much safety and security measures at work for these businesses.

It is alleged that on Saturday, January 11 a business in Van der Byl Street was the target for three suspects.

While on duty waiting for a customer, the victim alleges that he saw a Nissan Lavina pull up when two entered the building pointing a firearm towards the victim demanding money.

They took a cashbox and left the scene.

No one was harmed in the process.

On Wednesday, January 8 it is also alleged that the victim was at work in Walter Sisulu Street, when three males entered the shop, all three of them armed, split up and ask for money from two different counters.

The money was collected while the third suspect went through handbags at the back counter and took two cell phones.

The suspects left with money and the two phones without harming anyone.
