Three stores at Ogies Central Business District (CBD) were reported to be on fire on Friday early morning, December 13.
According to a media statement issued by Ogies SAPS, members of the Ogies community service centre received a complain at around 03:40 when buildings were reported to be on fire.
The buildings are situated in Van Reebeck Road (R545).
On arrival of the members, they found two shops and a bank in flames.
Emalahleni Fire Department and Klipspruit Fire Rescure responded to the scene.
An Arson case has been opened and the motive behind this act is unknown.
The matter is under police investigation. Ogies station commander has urged the community to assist the police in finding the culprits who might be the causs of this damage.
