Arm your house as they come armed

After his bath, he found a man in the sitting room allegedly pointing a firearm at him and directed him to lie down on the floor with his brother in law and the other man

A lot of people have put up security measures in their homes to avoid house robberies.

It is never enough because suspects always find a way to gain access to the residence.

Two house robberies were reported on two separate days. Both of the robberies were reported to have taken place in Reyno Ridge.

One took place in a complex in the area on Friday, October 25 at around 09:40 in the morning where a new car was stolen.

The owner of the car alleged that he parked his car at about 08:30 after accompanying his girlfriend to her home and thereafter took a bath.

He continued that there was his brother in law with another man in the house.

After his bath, he found a man in the sitting room allegedly pointing a firearm at him and directed him to lie down on the floor with his brother in law and the other man.

The suspects allegedly took the new VW Golf car, jewellery, cell phones, television and a wall picture.

The other robbery is alleged to have taken place in Gazel Street on Wednesday, October 23 at around 20:30.

Mr Golam Rahman said that as he was cooking at the time, he saw an unknown person with a firearm.

He told me to lie down after he slapped me. He took me to the other room and found my four brothers lying down. The six suspects took all our cell phones, television and some cash and fled away in a Toyota Quantum.

The cell phones the suspects took were 13 in total and the entire items stolen amounts to R50 000.

It is unknown how the suspects in each of the robberies gained access to the residences. No one was reported to be injured physically in both cases.
