Police are faced with tasks to investigate cases of house robbery, vehicle theft, kidnapping and rape.
A 43-year-old victim reported that he was parking his vehicle, a Toyota Hilux bakkie inside his garage at Empumelelweni on Friday, October 4 at about 19:00; he was with his wife.
He then saw someone inside the garage through his side mirror and the suspect pointed him with a firearm.
Another suspect went to his wife’s side and did the same thing.
They were ordered out of the vehicle and tied.
They were put in the back seat of the vehicle and items were taken from their home and they drove away with them.
They stopped on the R42 road to Delmas and were asked for their bank pin numbers.
One of the suspects was left to guard them on the road while the other went to withdraw money.
The husband heard his wife crying and she later told him that she had been raped.
The other suspect came back after a while and they were left on the road.
