Police in Vosman made a breakthrough when they arrested a suspect after a vehicle was hijacked and then recovered.
A man reported that he was driving near the KG Mall on Monday, September 30 at about 03:30 when he gave a lift to a hitchhiker.
While he was speaking to him through an open window, another suspect came along and when he tried to close the window, they smashed it with an unknown object.
Two more suspects came along and they then forced open the door and assaulted him with an unknown object and he was forced to the back of the vehicle.
Two of the suspects sat with him in the back seat while the one drove the car while the other one sat in front.
They drove around with him while assaulting him as well.
They took his bank cards and forced him to give them his pin number.
He was again assaulted as they claimed that he gave them a wrong pin number.
He was saved by the police in a roadblock who searched his car and then he informed them that he was hijacked.
Three of the suspects managed to escape while one was arrested.
The case in under investigation.
