Two house robberies were reported in two days in Tasbet Park.

The first robbery was reported from Springbok Street on Wednesday, July 17, at around 13:00 in the afternoon.

The complainant alleged that she was sitting inside her room with her husband and daughter.

She alleged that she heard noises from outside and went to check it. She found two unknown males with firearms and told her to get inside and keep quiet.

She further alleged that the suspects took their phones, laptops and television after they locked them inside the room.

The second robbery took place at a residence in Sekelbos Street on Thursday, July 18, where the suspect gained access into the backroom in the residence.

The woman who is the nanny for the house owners’ child was sleeping in the room at around 03:00 in the morning when she felt someone touching her all over her body.

According to the women, the unknown man tied her hands with a t-shirt and covered her mouth with a cloth.

The suspect demanded the keys to the main house and garage.

Fortunately, the woman was not hurt as the suspect fled away after hearing a toilet being flushed in the main house.

He took two pairs of Adidas sneakers, cell phone, and a bag full of underwear.

Both robberies were reported at Witbank Police Station.
