‘Fix it’ the movie to come out in eMalahleni

Well, worry not, because a few creative people in eMalahleni are cooking up a storm of a movie called ‘Fix it’

Wouldn’t it be beautiful and fulfilling to go the local movie cinema to watch a movie that is produced in your own town?

Well, worry not, because a few creative people in eMalahleni are cooking up a storm of a movie called ‘Fix it’.

“The movie deals with issues such as substance abuse, domestic violence and corruption in our justice system that we currently have to fix. Most importantly, it attempts to offer possible solutions and ways to deal with such challenges,” screenwriter of ‘Fix it’ Nollan Moosa explained.

Nollan added that the movie is in its post production stage and had their final casting auditions on Saturday, July 13, at eMalahleni Civic Theatre.

“We got more people, some are camera shy and some are not. We made them to act some of the scenes in groups and I must say that people in eMalahleni got talent. I feel like us doing this will give them a chance in life because most don’t even work,” said Nollan as he commented about the auditions.

There are about 35 performers, comprising of 20 male actors, 12 actresses and the rest being extras.

All the actors and actresses are from different backgrounds and races to emphasize the rainbow nation South Africa is.

As being able to act counts more, Nollan said that the actors and actresses must be easy to work with.

“They must perform or act well, have the ability to act in a way the director wants and they must think about the bigger picture.”

The shooting is set to start any time in August.

There are 37 different scenes planned to be shot.

“We are going to try and shoot everywhere in eMalahleni such as in town, shopping malls, townships and police stations.” Nollan stated that the movie will come out sometime this year but he is unsure of the exact date.

Nollan encouraged that if anyone is interested in joining in the making of ‘Fix it’, whether it could be through sponsoring on @fixitthemovie page on Facebook.
