An informative afternoon was held at New Life Church and all who attended learnt some valuable tips on how to raise children.

“I guess if there was one person who wrote a book on how to raise kids 100%, that would be a very wealthy man,” said Phillip du Plessis from Legacy Emergency Specialists.

Melanie Enslin from EQ for kids shed some light on the emotional aspects of a child’s life.

She highlighted very important factors that play a vital role in your child’s development.

Anita Terblanche spoke about horse therapy. “I am not the therapist. The horse is. It is amazing to see what impact that horse has on a child.”

Gusmari Maritz shared some valuable personal experience to illustrate the importance exercise has on the development and mental state of a child’s life.

Legacy Emergency Specialists shared information regarding safety tips, some tips on ‘how to parent’ and what to do in emergency situations.

Hykie Berg also had a few tips to share and also shared his inspirational story of being able to replace all his synthetic medical drugs with safe natural supplements.

Elizma van der Walt, one of the organisers said that they would like to thank all parents who joined on Friday, to be inspired and to improve their own and their children’s well-being.

“A big thank you to all who shared their life experiences and knowledge with us on Friday. We learned so much about physical, emotional and nutritional well-being. Thanks to Legacy who shared some very important life tips on how important boundaries are for children to become responsible adults one day,” said Elizma. “As Hykie Berg stated; ‘the true value in life is being ultimately well – mind, body and soul’.”

His latest range gives hope to parents that would like their children to concentrate better and assist with attention difficulty, are hyperactive and struggle with impulsiveness.

“Health is defined as the overall mental and physical state of a person; the absence of diseases. Wellness refers to the state of being in optimal mental and physical health. We don’t just want to be not sick, we want to feel good and live full and wonderful lives.
If you would like to live a life of being ultimately well, we would like to support you in your journey to wellness,” concluded Elizma.

She would like to thank Elbie French who assisted in organising the day as well as New Life Church and everyone who contributed and gave valuable tips and information.
