Dagga lands man in hot water

They found five black plastic bags full of dagga, 12 rolls of dagga wrapped in newspaper, 20 pokes of dagga in transparent plastics and one black plastic bag with loose dagga almost quarter empty

The Vispol Commander of Phola SAPS Capt Jannie Kamfer arrested an African male aged between 25 and 35 years old for dealing in dagga.

Capt Kamfer and Const Brilliant Malope were on patrol at Vulindlela Street on Friday June 7 and noticed the suspect running away after seeing the police bakkie coming in his direction.

Apparently his sudden running rose suspicion to them and they gave chase until they apprehended him at Phola Hostel where they discovered upon arrival a large quantity of dagga that he admitted to be selling for another male called George.

They found five black plastic bags full of dagga, 12 rolls of dagga wrapped in newspaper, 20 pokes of dagga in transparent plastics and one black plastic bag with loose dagga almost quarter empty.

The suspect was detained at Phola SAPS and exhibit booked on the SAP 13.

The suspect was released and warned for court at Ogies Magistrate’s Court on Monday, June 10.
