Some are registered but state that they will not vote

Election Day is around the corner and majority of young people who are eligible to vote are not registered.
Some are registered but state that they will not vote.
Nkosingiphile Nkambule: “When the political parties campaign for votes, they target the disadvantaged people and take advantage of them by promising them that they will deliver. They focus too much on the service deliver where they should decrease taxes play a role in the development of the country. That is why I did not register to vote.”
Phumudzo Tshivhase: “I did not register to vote and I feel like all political parties are liars. They always promising but they never deliver.”
Ziphelele Ndabisukile: “I am not going to vote because all politicians are liars. I think the fact that there are a lot of young people who are not registered to vote will make political parties realise that there are things they are not doing right which affects the youth.”
Witbank News went to the local Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) campus in search for views of students on voting on the next election.
