A case of rape has been opened at the Witbank Police Station after it came to light that a little girl is allegedly being raped by her uncle.
A teacher from a local school here in eMalahleni was shocked when one of her nine-year-old students complained about her private parts hurting.
The teacher was allegedly busy marking some of the students work on February 25 when the young girl approached her and said her private parts hurt.
Allegedly the teacher asked her why and the young girl with tears in her eyes started to explain that her uncle put his private parts inside of hers.
This matter was taken to the principal and the school principal suggested that a case needs to be opened at the police station.
After some questioning the girl explained that she lives with her grandmother who is blind.
Allegedly this happens when her uncle visits them.
Police are investigating the case.
