Police hunt for cornfield murderer

The suspect, Dennis Sipho Motubatse briefly appeared in court on March 20, 2018 but the case was postponed until March 27, 2018 where he got out on R500 bail

The police urged the public to be on the look out for Dennis Sipho Motubatse. He is wanted in the cornfield murder case that occurred in March 2018.

WITBANK NEWS reported on March 13, 2018 about a body that was found in a cornfield. The body that was found in a cornfield next to the R555 between Clewer and Ogies is believed to be one of a person that went missing in February 2018.

The article further stated that two suspects were arrested for this brutal act,

“We have arrested two suspects regarding this gruesome discovery but the investigation is still going on,” said Col One Thobejane from Vosman Police Station.

The suspect, Dennis Sipho Motubatse briefly appeared in court on March 20, 2018 but the case was postponed until March 27, 2018 where he got out on R500 bail and the case was postponed again due to DNA results that were not available.

Motubatse never pitched up for another court hearing.

“We as police are asking the public to assist us with any information that will help us find this suspect regarding this case,” Cst Kgomotso Maluleke added.
