EHC back to school campaign

School shoes and scientific calculators were distributed across 11 primary and high schools

Emalahleni Housing Company donated school shoes and scientific calculators to various primary and high schools in Emalahleni as part of their annual back to school campaign.

The campaign is an initiative that aims to reward learners who collect bread tags for the EHC ‘Breadtags for Wheelchairs’ campaign.

School shoes and scientific calculators were distributed across 11 primary and high schools to 503 beneficiaries in total.

EHC community development officers, Mr Trevor Dube and Ms Sibongile Skhosana received a warm welcome from the school principals, staff and learners who were overjoyed and excited at being rewarded for their tremendous efforts.

Through the collection of breadtags, three wheelchairs were purchased and distributed to beneficiaries in Emalahleni.

Pick n Pay Klipfontein joined the handover by generously donating 250 lunch boxes which were distributed to the little ones in crèches and Grade R classes at three different schools.

Emalahleni Housing Company will continue to visit various schools in the month of January to donate school shoes to all its respective beneficiaries.
