Truck and bakkie involved in collision one person killed

A person was killed early on Sunday morning when a collision occurred when a truck and bakkie collided.

The accident occurred on Sunday, January 27 at approximately 10:50 on the Old Ogies Road (R544), it’s still unclear how the accident happened.

It’s alleged that the bakkie was transporting five passengers when the collision occurred, the passengers where flung off the back of the bakkie when the impact occurred.

Seriously injured passengers lay on the tarmac waiting for emergency help, while the driver of the bakkie was stuck inside the vehicle.

Emergency services arrived on scene and transported the injured to Witbank Provincial Hospital.

One person was declared dead one scene.
