Tied up and dumped like a garbage bag

It was alleged by a witness from Cyber Search, Henry de Boos that suspects driving a silver Polo dumped the victim from the vehicle.

He was naked, tied up and dumped along the R555 (Old Middelburg Road).

That is how the South African Community Crime Watch (SACCW) found the poor victim of a robbery on the evening of January 8.

It was alleged by a witness from Cyber Search, Henry de Boos that suspects driving a silver Polo dumped the victim from the vehicle.

“I was on my way home when I saw the victim on his knees behind the silver Polo along with two other men. They threw the clothes of the victim next to him and drove off to Middelburg’s direction,” said De Boos.

The victim was left alongside the road with nothing except the shoe laces that was used to tie up his hands.

It was further alleged by the victim that two suspects stopped next to him to ask directions, they then grabbed him and drove off with him assaulting him in the vehicle and robbing him of his belongings.

“I immediately went to the victim and he told me what happened. We tried to stop a police vehicle that was passing the scene but they did not stop, so I called in on SACCW (South African Community Crime Watch) channel,” De Boos added.

Maureen Scheepers from SACCW arrived at the scene and called for medical help as the victim sustained a serious head injury.

JD-Med arrived promptly and treated the victim on scene before transporting him to hospital.

A case of robbery was opened by the Witbank Police Station and will be investigated.

WITBANK NEWS did an article of the same nature in November 2018, where a victim hiked along the road and was picked up by two unknown men.

The men drove off with the hiker, stabbed him and robbed him of all his belongings.
