Elderly of Phola had an early Christmas when they were presented with food parcels.
More than 100 people received the food parcels from members of the Greater Phola Ogies Women Forum (GPOWF) and they partnered with JWC.
GPOWF said they are engaged in rehabilitation of old mines and with the profit from the programme they made they decided to plough back to their community.

“This a start of good and better things for our community, in Phola. The land that have been rehabilitated will be used for agriculture and other things by the same community. We hope our elderly will have a bright Christmas. We believe in them and because without them we are nothing. We are planning more programmes of ploughing back to our community in the future,” said Ms Millicent Shungube, a member of GPOWF.
With their slogan: ‘Forward’ they believe they will move forward in helping the community of Phola.
