The woman who is accused of allegedly stabbing her husband appeared in Witbank Magistrate’s Court briefly.

Itumeleng Makhalemele-Maseko, (26) appeared in B Court on Friday, November 9; she has been out on bail since Friday, September 14.

She was released on R3 000 bail, her bail was granted because she wasn’t deemed a flight risk because she supplied a fixed and alternative residential address, the court considered that she has children and she needed to take care of them and her release on bail was deemed in the interest of justice.


Itumeleng Makhalemele-Maseko appeared in Witbank Magistrate’s Court on Friday, November 9 after she was released on bail.

She allegedly stabbed her husband, Mr Willem Caswell Maseko, who is the father of their two children at their home in eMalahleni on Saturday, September 1.

The case was postponed and she will appear again on Tuesday, January 15 2019.
