On Saturday, December 1 at about 10:00 an employee from a local business was sent to a bank in eMalahleni to go and deposit some money.

“I was about to deposit the money when three African males came up to me,” explained the employee.

“One of the men had a gun, I knew I must cooperate otherwise I might not walk away from this.”

The three suspects demanded that he gives them the money and he did. The suspects took the money and disappeared.

A case was opened at the Witbank Police Station and they are still investigating the case.

On the evening of Saturday, December 1 three armed African males appeared at a diesel depot here in eMalahlenli.

Two security guards were on duty when the suspects appeared. The suspects were armed with firearms and they forced the two security guards to lie down on the ground.

“They screamed at us that they are not there to kill is, they are just there to get some diesel,” explained one of the security guards.

As the security guards explained that there isn’t any, one of the suspects hit him with the firearm.

The suspect then tied up the guards and told the other two suspects that they need to leave.

Before they left they took the victim’s cell phones.

No arrests have yet been made and police are still investigating the case.
