Unknown man found stabbed to death

He was wrapped in his blanket and where he was lying seemed to be his usual spot for the evening.

Early on Saturday morning, November 17 a person walking past Highland Mews noticed the body lying in the bushes.

He notified authorities immediately who responded to the call.

Members from SACCW cornered off the scene as police did their investigation into the case.

At first an inquest case was opened until the autopsy was done on Tuesday, November 20.

During the autopsy the cause of death was due to stabbing and the case changed to murder.


A police officer from Witbank Police Station stands near the body of an unknown man who was found dead in the bushes on Saturday morning, November 17.

According to a woman that works at a local take away shop near where the murder occurred, she always noticed that he walked to the garage and filled his bottles with water.

The man has still not been identified by his next of kin.
