A Swaziland citizen was nearly killed after armed robbers shot him through his car window.

The man is a 41-year old citizen of Swaziland. On Thursday, November 15 he was sleeping in his vehicle near the Middelburg tollgate.

It is alleged that he had been awoken by a knock on his car window. Two men asked him if they could borrow his jack.

The Swazi citizen then explained that he doesn’t have one with him and he went back to sleep.

A short while later, the two men again knocked on his window, this time with more force and then they smashed the window open.

The man awoke with a fright and started to scream; that was when one of the suspects allegedly shot him through the hand with a pistol.

It is unclear if the suspects stole anything or what they wanted but a case of armed robbery had been opened and police are now investigating this case. No suspects have yet been arrested.
