The man who was killed in cold blood on a family farm was laid to rest.
On Saturday, October 20, the funeral for Mr John Shabangu was held in Middelburg.
Shabangu was killed last week on a family farm on the Verena Road.
The shooting occurred on Tuesday morning, October 16.
Shabangu who is an employee on a family farm was killed inside the main farm house when he was shot.

Last month the owner of the land where Shabangu resided, Mr Jan Masango received a letter stating that he has to vacate the farm in 30 days.
“A meeting was held about the issue and the person who wants the farm told me that ‘one by one you will go until we have the land’,” said Jan.
Masango also said that prior to the attack he noticed different cars travelling on the road past the farm early in the mornings.
Mr John Shabangu (55) was laid to rest on Saturday, October 20.
The driver would then make a u-turn and drive off.
Shabangu leaves behind his four children, three boys and one daughter.
