A Toyota Hilux and a Toyota Quantum hijacked

A white Toyota Hilux worth R500 000 was hijacked at KwaGuqa in Extension 9 on Wednesday, September 12 at about 20:45.

The vehicle was hijacked when the owner was driving into the yard close to the gate. The owner saw three suspects and they pointed a firearm at him. He was ordered to stay inside the vehicle as they drove off with the owner inside.

A neighbour saw what was happening but could not help. The car’s registration number is FT 71 NU GP.

Another car was hijacked on Saturday, September 15 at about 22:30 at KwaGuqa in Extension 10.

Attempted hijack after a ‘braai’

The owner had attended a party at Extension 10 and his vehicle was parked outside the yard. When it was time for him to go just when he was about to open the door of his white Toyota Quantum, a suspect approached him and pointed a firearm at him.

He was ordered to get inside the vehicle and as he refused to do so, the suspect fired a shot on the ground, a friend came to try and help him and another suspect came to the scene and forced both of them into the vehicle.

They were told to take off their clothes and they drove with them to Delmas. They were then dropped off at Delmas and the suspects drove off in the vehicle. The car’s registration number is JGS 905 MP and is white in colour.

No one has been arrested in both cases and police are investigating the cases.
