“The men asked me for the money I just withdrew. I did not give them all the money at first, but they said it’s short. They want it all,” said the victim who lost thousands to armed robbers.
This happened on Tuesday, September 11 and the victim explained the events:
“I withdrew the money and drove to Jellicoe Street. As I opened my car door two men approached me and I heard a gunshot. With the money, they took two cell phones and my car keys. I am busy building a house and the contractors need the money cash.”

He added that the suspects did not cover their faces. According to a police statement, the suspects fled in a green Renault with registration number: JTC 185 NW.
This follows after numerous robberies have taken place this year, claiming thousands from residents.
One victim lost his life, while another is still recovering from a shooting incident.
The bank did not provide feedback regarding the incident by time of going to print.
