Two robberies with firearms reported

A 46 year-old man of Ackerville reported to the police he was robbed at gunpoint by three suspects.

A 46 year-old man of Ackerville reported to the police he was robbed at gunpoint by three suspects.

The victim said he was walking on the streets when he was picked up by these three men who were driving a Toyota Quantum vehicle. The men drove with him to an unknown place where they robbed him. He was robbed of clothing, black Avon watch, a silver ring, a gold Samsung Galaxy and R800 in cash. The value of all the items taken is R4 470. The incident happened on Saturday, June 30 at about 21:15.

Another case of armed robbery was also reported to the Vosman police when a 33 year-old man became a victim when he was robbed at Ferrobank.

He told the police that he was with a friend as they were standing on the side of the road. They were approached by a red Renault with three suspects. The suspects stopped their car to ask for directions and they were forced into the car. They were driven into an unknown area and they were then searched. They took some cash and their cell phones; the value of the items taken is R3 200.

They were robbed on Thursday, July 5 at about 23:45.

No arrests in both cases and police are investigating.
