This past weekend Kgomotso Morule could hardly hide her excitement.

She is one of the climbers who hope to summit Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania on the day of Nelson Mandela’s birthday on Wednesday, July 18.

On Friday, June 13 Friday morning they participated in a tree planting ceremony with Lesego Zulu to honour the late Gugu Zulu who passed away due to breathing problems while summiting Kilimanjaro. Hundred trees will be rooted in African soil in a bid to help save fast-melting glaciers.
